Design Concepts & Past Estimates

Purpose: Designed as an addition to an existing cabin, this timber frame was planned to complement the original structure while adding more living space and character. Features included traditional joinery and exposed beams to blend seamlessly with the rustic setting.

Status: Estimate only — not built.

Purpose: A timber frame pavilion designed to cover a poolside patio, providing shade and an attractive focal point for outdoor entertaining. This design featured an open layout with heavy timbers and a sturdy, traditional roof.

Purpose: A compact saltbox-style structure designed as a small outbuilding or seasonal retreat. This design showcased the classic saltbox roofline and efficient use of space while maintaining the charm of traditional timber framing.

Status: Concept only — not built.

Purpose: A personal project to reconstruct a barn on an existing stone foundation that predates, or possibly coincides with, the founding of Shickshinny. The site originally held a barn, though in 1893 the owner built a house on the same foundation. This design honors the site’s history while bringing back the barn’s original character with traditional timber framing.

Purpose: A small, rustic-style timber frame ticket booth designed for a local festival, offering an inviting and authentic feel for attendees. The booth features an open design and exposed joinery, perfect for outdoor events and community gatherings.

Purpose: A timber frame man cave designed as a personal workshop and hangout space — ideal for working on a Harley or other motorcycles. This design combines sturdy construction with an intimate, functional layout for hobbyists and riders.
