Made-to-Order Kits & Custom Timber Frames

The timber frame kits shown below are inspired by traditional designs I’ve learned from master craftsmen and schools. Each design has full working plans and is ready to build when ordered. I craft each kit to order — nothing is pre-built — so you get a frame made just for you.

These models are just a starting point — a small sample of what’s possible. If you have your own vision, I can work with you to adapt a design or create something entirely new. Worksheets and free estimates for custom projects are easy to put together.

Additional Notes:

Pricing shown is for the timber frame only.

Delivery and setup on your prepared foundation are additional and vary depending on your location and needs.

If you’d like to help raise the frame with a group of friends, I’m happy to work alongside you — in that case you would just cover my time on site.

If a crew is needed to complete the raising, that can also be arranged for an additional cost.

Plans:

Plans are included with your frame at no extra cost. If your municipality requires engineered (stamped) plans for permitting — sometimes needed for residential dwellings — this can be arranged through a third-party engineer for an additional fee. Many outbuildings and seasonal cabins do not require engineered plans, but please check with your local code office to confirm.
