About Valley Creek Timber Frames
I’m Neal Piskorick, founder of Valley Creek Timber Frames, based in northeastern Pennsylvania.
My approach to timber framing has been shaped by a passion for traditional craftsmanship, years of studying the work of respected timber framers, attending workshops, and exploring the principles of historic joinery, proportion, and heavy timber construction. Influenced by the craftsmen who helped preserve and advance the timber frame revival in America, I continue to draw inspiration from their commitment to thoughtful design, honest materials, and structures built to last.
With a background in surveying and design, I bring a focus on accuracy, proportion, and careful planning to every project. Valley Creek Timber Frames creates thoughtfully designed pavilions, cabins, workshops, outdoor structures, and heavy timber features inspired by the timeless character of traditional American timber framing.
I believe there is something special about authentic heavy timber construction — the warmth of exposed joinery, the natural strength of the materials, and the lasting sense of permanence these structures bring to a property. My goal is to create timber frame structures that respect those traditions while remaining practical, approachable, and adaptable to modern living.
Whether you’re planning a backyard pavilion, retreat cabin, workshop, or custom timber-frame project, I aim to provide a straightforward process centered around craftsmanship, communication, and long-term durability.
