About Valley Creek Timber Frames

I’m Neal Piskorick, founder of Valley Creek Timber Frames, based in northeastern Pennsylvania.

My approach to timber framing has been shaped through hands-on experience and by studying alongside accomplished master timber framers from the New England region — craftsmen whose work helped define the modern timber frame renaissance in America beginning in the 1970s. Their respect for traditional joinery, practical design, and enduring construction continues to influence the philosophy behind every project I take on today.

Valley Creek Timber Frames focuses on thoughtfully designed pavilions, cabins, workshops, outdoor structures, and heavy timber features inspired by the timeless character of traditional American timber framing.

I believe there is something special about authentic heavy timber construction — the warmth of exposed joinery, the natural strength of the materials, and the lasting sense of permanence these structures bring to a property. My goal is to offer timber frame structures that reflect those traditions while remaining practical, approachable, and adaptable to modern living.
