Valley Creek Timber Frames is based in northeastern Pennsylvania and provides traditional timber-frame packages for projects throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, and beyond.

Our focus is the timber frame itself.

We design and provide frames for pavilions, cabins, workshops, garages, outdoor structures, additions, and custom heavy-timber projects. Each project is developed around traditional timber-frame principles, with exposed heavy timbers, mortise-and-tenon joinery, and careful attention to proportion, layout, and how the complete frame works together.

Local & Regional Projects

Our home base is in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, with projects and customers throughout northeastern and central Pennsylvania.

We serve areas including the Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Bloomsburg, Berwick, Hazleton, Williamsport, Lewisburg, the Poconos, and surrounding communities.

Valley Creek is also developing a growing presence in Ohio, particularly Northeast Ohio and the Akron, Canton, Youngstown, and Cleveland regions.

Not Limited to Our Local Area

A timber frame does not have to be built next door to our shop.

Through relationships with experienced timber-frame fabrication shops and freight carriers, frame packages can be produced and delivered well beyond our immediate service area. Nationwide shipping may be available depending on the size, design, and requirements of the project.

For projects farther from Pennsylvania or Ohio, we can discuss the most practical approach to design, fabrication, delivery, and raising the frame.

What We Provide

Valley Creek Timber Frames specializes in the timber-frame portion of the project rather than complete turnkey home construction.

Depending on the project, a frame package may include:

Traditional heavy-timber frame design and joinery

Detailed shop drawings and 3D modeling

Timbers cut and prepared for assembly

Wood-to-wood fasteners and traditional connection hardware

Post anchors when required

Delivery coordination

On-site frame raising or raising assistance when available

This approach allows homeowners, contractors, architects, and owner-builders to incorporate an authentic timber frame into a larger project without being tied to a particular home-building system or general contractor.
